    Cannabis Apple Crisp

October 18, 2021 by Cannabis Spatula 2 Comments

Easy Cannabis Apple Crisp - just like grandma used to make. That is, if your grandma used a healthy dose of CannaButter in her cooking!

This easy recipe doesn't even require you to peel the apples (who has time to peel the apples?), and is egg free. Enjoy it warm, cold or with a scoop of ice cream on top.

As far as edibles desserts go, this is one of the best.

Single serving of cannabis apple crisp inside of a striped dessert bag and resting on a turquoise scalloped plate.

There's just nothing better than to go apple picking in the fall and then whip up a batch of this homemade cannabis apple crisp. This recipe is at the top of our fall favorites!

    Make it Gluten Free

It's easy to make this recipe gluten free. Substitute the flour for a gluten free flour and be sure that your oats are gluten free.

    Make it Dairy Free

Easy peasy! Just substitute the butter for the dairy free butter of your choice (we like this brand), and be sure that your cannabutter is also dairy free.

    🥘Freezing and Storage

You can store your cooked apple crisp in the fridge for up to one week.

Freezing your Baked Cannabis Apple Crisp

Bake it, divide it into single serving portions and freeze in separate airtight containers. When you're ready to eat, take it out of the freezer, cover the top with foil and bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes or until heated to your desired temperature.

Freezing your Unbaked Cannabis Apple Crisp

Your other option is to split this recipe into two 8x8 pans. Cook one and freeze the other unbaked. When you're ready to eat it, cover it with foil and cook in the oven at 350 degrees F for one hour. Remove the layer of foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes.

Your unbaked or baked Cannabis Apple Crisp will store in the freezer for up to 6 months.

    📋 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need to use any specific type of apple?

Absolutely not! Grab a bag of apples at the store, pick them yourself in an orchard - it makes no difference what apples you use in this recipe.

Do I really not have to peel the apples first?

No need to peel the apples. If you really hate cooked apple skins, you CAN peel the apples first, but this recipe tastes great either way.

    What toppings should I add?

Personally, we like it straight out of the pan. But if you want to add a little something extra, serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, or with a healthy dose of whipped cream.
