Before you get started

If you’re new to cooking with cannabis, you’ll want to learn more about getting started. It’s not hard to cook with cannabis, but there are a few things you’ll need to understand first. For this recipe, you’ll need to know:

How to Make Cannabis Black Bean Hummus

If you like Black Bean Hummus, you’re going to love it even more when it gets you high. And when it comes to hummus, there is nothing more satisfying than to make it from your own kitchen.

Kicking off your appetizer experience without all the sodium and preservatives found in store-bought hummus always feels like the right choice. To start, line up your favorite canned black beans and get your cannabis oil on deck.

Dice up the red pepper, jalapeno and mince fresh garlic for the perfect symphony of flavors. The secret punch is delivered through a hint of smoked paprika!

Throw it all in your food processor to create the perfect, creamy hummus. Super easy and straightforward ingredients and even easier clean up.

This hummus can be enjoyed with your favorite dipper – which makes the snack as individualized as the guests you are treating! This is your new favorite gluten free, vegan edibles treat. Set aside a few minutes to whip it up and then kick back and enjoy the sweetest high.

Do I have to include the Jalapeno?

Of course not. If you can’t take the heat, just leave it out of your recipe.

How do I make this black bean hummus without cannabis?

Simply replace the cannabis oil with olive oil. Easy peasy.

Can you walk me through the dosing again? How high will I get when I eat this Cannabis Black Bean Hummus?

Sure thing. A serving size of 1/4 cup contains 10 – 14 mg of THC. Some people may want more than that to achieve their optimal high, and others may want less. We recommend serving this in 1/4 cup servings so that all of your guests can decide for themselves how much to eat. You can use muffin cups to serve them pre-portioned or place a 1/4 measuring cup in your serving bowl with instructions for guests to serve themselves.

You can read our full dosing guidelines here.

Can I keep this Cannabis Black Bean Hummus in the fridge?

Yes. Store in an airtight container. Eat within a week.

Can I freeze this Cannabis Black Bean Hummus?

We haven’t had the best luck with freezing this recipe. We recommend storing it in the refrigerator for up to one week.

I followed the super easy recipe for this, then added a little drizzle of olive oil and some Everything Bagel seasoning on top. My veggies were very happy.
