    👩🏻‍🍳 BEFORE YOU GET STARTED

    🔪 INSTRUCTIONS

Follow these simple steps for this easy cannabis nutella recipe.

    1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
    2. Toast the hazelnuts on a baking sheet until they're slightly browned, 12-15 minutes. Let cool completely and then peel.
    3. Melt the chocolate in the microwave. Stir until it's smooth and let cool.
    4. Grind the hazelnuts and oil in a food processor until they form a paste.
    5. Add the sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla, and salt and blend until the mixture is smooth.
    6. Add the melted chocolate and blend thoroughly.
    7. Pour into airtight container(s). We like to use mason jars. This recipe will fill two half-pint mason jars.
    8. Mixture will appear runny but will harden as it cools.
    9. Once completely cool, place lids on jars.
    10. Store in the cabinet for up to 3 months.

We told you this was a simple recipe!

    🧾 SUBSTITUTIONS

    Make it Gluten Free

The best thing about this recipe is that it's already gluten free! Woo hoo!

    Make it Dairy Free

You'll simply want to make sure to use dairy free melting chocolate. We like Gefen Dairy Free Chocolate Chips.

    🍽 SERVING SIZE + DOSING

    Serving Size:  2 Tablespoons
    Servings per Recipe: 16
Dosage: Approximately 16 mg THC per tablespoon. Dosage determined using marijuana with 10% THC.

Use our dosing calculator to determine exact dosage if necessary.

Want to make this recipe MORE potent? Here are a few options:

    • Use a stronger strain of marijuana when making your infusion.
    • Use MORE decarbed weed when making your infusion.
    • Use Cannabis Chocolate for some or all of the chocolate.
    • Eat more! 🙂

Want to make this recipe LESS potent? Here are a few options:

    • Use a weaker strain of marijuana when making your infusion.
    • Use LESS decarbed weed when making your infusion.
    • Replace some of the 3 tablespoons of Canna Oil with regular oil.

    🥘FREEZING AND STORAGE

    STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS

Do not refrigerate. Refrigeration will cause the mixture to harden.

    FREEZER INSTRUCTIONS

We don't recommend freezing your Nutella as the texture will not be the same after you defrost it.

    ROOM TEMPERATURE INSTRUCTIONS

Store it in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three months.

    📋 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    Can I use dark chocolate?

The recipe will absolutely work with dark chocolate, but it will definitely taste different than the traditional Nutella you're used to. Milk chocolate is probably best.

What do I eat with Cannabis Nutella?

The sky is the limit (no pun intended)! Here are a few of our favorite ways to eat Cannabis Nutella:

    • Use it as a dip for pretzels or pita chips
    • Serve it on toast
    • Make a Cannabis Nutella sandwich
    • Spread it on waffles or pancakes
    • Eat it with croissants or biscuits
    • Drizzle it over fresh fruit
    • Stir it into oatmeal
    • Make a smoothie
    • Add it to your yogurt

Can I just bake my cake in the Jar?

Mason jars are not oven proof and should not be used for baking. Sorry!

Why wouldn't I bake my CannaButter or Canna Oil into my cake mix?

Because one box of cake mix can make up to 12 mason cake jars, it's easier to manage the dosing by adding it in at the end. This also allows you to build one jar at a time when you're ready to eat it.

What's the best way to get my frosting into the jar without getting the sides gross?

The easiest option is to add a spoonful of frosting to the middle of the cake layer and then spread it out when you slide the next layer of cake on top. You can also spoon your frosting into a plastic baggie. Snip the corner off and squeeze it in.

Can I make homemade cake and/or frosting?

Of course! Choose your favorite recipes and get cooking!

    Ingredients

    Scale
    • One box of cake mix (your choice of flavor)
    • One can of frosting (your choice of flavor)
    • 1-12 half-pint mason jar (This recipe will make 12 cakes in a jar. You can make them all at once or one at a time.)
    • Sprinkles
    • 1 teaspoon melted CannaButter or CannaOil per cake in a jar (or more depending on dosage)

    Instructions

    1. Prepare the cake mix according to package instructions.
    2. Bake on a greased half sheet pan. Cake will be thin.
    3. Let cool completely.
    4. Using a round cookie cutter, cut out cake rounds that are slightly smaller than the mason jar opening. You will need 3-4 cake rounds per mason jar.
    5. Place one cake round in the bottom of the mason jar.
    6. Add one teaspoon melted CannaButter or Canna Oil.
    7. Top with frosting and sprinkles.
    8. Repeat until mason jar is full.
    9. Each teaspoon of CannaButter or Canna Oil adds 28 mg of THC. You may want to add one teaspoon per cake or one teaspoon per layer. It's up to you.
    10. Place a lid on your jar. Store in the refrigerator and eat within 7 days or in the freezer within 6 months.
    11. Leftover cake can be eaten or frozen for future mason jar cakes.
