High on Life, High on Love
Oh sweet Mary Jane, oh how you rise above
Bringing laughter, joy, and peace to my heart
Your fragrance, so pungent, sets me apart
You are my escape, my comfort and my friend
With you by my side, life's worries come to an end
You lift me up, make my worries fade away
You make me see the beauty in every day
With every toke, I'm transported to a place
Where worries and fears are erased without a trace
In this world, there's only love, joy, and peace
And I'm high on life, high on love, without a lease
A Plant of Many Wonders
From the earth you grow, a green beauty to behold
A gift from the gods, a story to be told
You bring us peace, calmness to our mind
A plant of many wonders, one of a kind
You heal the body, soothe the soul
You make the world a better place, whole
With your sweet aroma, and mellowing effect
You're the perfect remedy, for what life may neglect
You bring people together, across borders and lands
Breaking down walls, with just a puff of your hands
So here's to you, oh sweet Mary Jane
May you continue to bless us, time and time again
A Smoker's Ode
Oh, how I love the way you make me feel
With every inhale, my worries slowly peel
You take me to a place, where I'm free from all pain
A world where everything's okay, again and again
You bring me peace, when life gets rough
And when I'm feeling low, you lift me up
You make me laugh, and fill me with cheer
And with every smoke, I hold you near
So here's to you, my dear Mary Jane
The source of my happiness, my peace, my gain
With you by my side, I can face any storm
You're my faithful companion, my friend, and my warm
A Tribute to the Green Lady
Oh Green Lady, you are a mystery so rare
Your leaves so green, your aroma so fair
With every inhale, you take me away
To a world where all is well, where there is no delay
You make me see the world with a different view
Bringing out the best, in everything I do
You make me feel alive, with a burst of energy
And with you, I feel like I can conquer any adversity
You bring people together, with a love so true
Breaking down walls, with just a puff or two
So here's to you, oh sweet Mary Jane
A tribute to the Green Lady, and all her pain
The High Life
Oh how I love the feeling of your sweet embrace
With every inhale, I'm taken to a different place
You make me see the world, with a new set of eyes
And with you by my side, I can conquer any lies

And with you, my life will always have a happy end.
The Cannabis Plant
Oh cannabis plant, how you grow so tall
With your fragrant buds, you make us enthralled
Your leaves so green, your aroma so sweet
Your benefits, so many, we cannot repeat
From medical marijuana, to creative writing
You're the source of inspiration, so inviting
You spark deep thought, and unlock the mind
A source of creativity, for all of humankind
But the United States, once saw you as a mistake
A case of drug-control bureaucracies, unable to break
The arbitrary law, that caused so much harm
A fog of dirty language, causing great alarm
Your use of marijuana, led to the terrors of arrest
A great deal of the violence, caused by the state's quest
To control the familiar stranger, that is you
And Madison Avenue, added to the misconstrue
But intelligent citizens, began to see through the veil
Agents of this bureau, began to fail
As the structure of certain pieces of jazz, began to show
The total dismantling of the whole cancerous bureaucracy, would soon grow
Love Letters to Mary Jane
Oh Mary Jane, how I adore thee
Thou art the best weed poems, to ever be
With actual experience of the smoked herb, as my guide
I can express my love for thee, with great pride
In the privacy policy, of my heart and soul
Thou art the one, that makes me whole
For thou art my familiar stranger, my constant companion
The one that helps me see the world, with a simpler line of thought, so zen
Thy use of marijuana, opens up my mind
To new ideas, and thoughts, so divine
Thou art the structure of certain pieces of jazz
A new manner of thinking, a new way to pass
The uncounted years, of love letters to thee
Have been the source of my happiness, and glee
For thou art the naked lunch, that feeds my soul
And with thee, my life will always be whole
Parkinson's Law
Parkinson's Law, states that work expands
To fill the time, that the worker demands
But with the use of medical marijuana, so grand
The fog of dirty language, no longer stands
For the arbitrary law, that once caused so much pain
Has been challenged, and the victory is gained
No longer will the terrors of arrest, cause such harm
For the structure of certain pieces of jazz, is now the norm
The agents of this bureau, have been overthrown
As intelligent citizens, have taken the throne
And the use of marijuana, no longer causes fear
For the classical music, can now be heard clear
The Great American Mistake
The great American mistake, was to ban
The use of marijuana, in every land
For the benefits, were so clear to see
From creativity, to medical use, it was meant to be
But the terror of arrest, and the violence it caused
The case of drug-control bureaucracies, so flawed
Were the result of an arbitrary law, so wrong
That the terrors of arrest, lasted so long
But now the structure of certain pieces of jazz
And the total dismantling of the whole cancerous bureaucracy, will soon pass
As the idea of a marijuana, takes hold
And the naked lunch, is no longer cold
For the use of marijuana, is now a new manner
Of thinking, and living, and no longer a banner
For the familiar stranger, that is you
Is now accepted, and no longer taboo
On the Edge
In the movie theaters and edge books,
I found my love for Mary Jane, and took a look,
At the world through a different lens,
And the wonders of marijuana use, that it sends.
But the big mistake was to criminalize,
The use of this plant, and demonize,
A medicine that could ease so much pain,
And inspire so many marijuana poems to be written and remain.
Now the stigma is slowly fading away,
As people begin to see the benefits that it may,
Bring to those who suffer and those who seek,
A different perspective, a new way to think.
So let us celebrate the edge books and movie theaters,
That helped bring to light the wonders of marijuana use,
And let us continue to fight for its freedom and use,
So that the world can benefit, and the love for Mary Jane can continue to diffuse.
